College Inception and Development
Rajkiya Mahavidyalaya Chinyalisaur is a pioneer institution of higher education located in the serene environs of Chinyalisaur, Uttarakhand, India. The College was established in August 2001 with a vision to provide accessible and quality higher education to the local community and beyond, the college has been a cornerstone of academic excellence in the region. Founded on the principles of inclusivity, integrity, and innovation, Rajkiya Mahavidyalaya Chinyalisaur is affiliated to Sridev Suman Uttarakhand University, Badshahithaul, Tehri Garhwal and offers undergraduate programmes in Science and Humanities. Starting with only 62 students in 2001-02, the strength of the college has gradually increased to 633 in 2023-24. From session 2024-25 the college will be offering an undergraduate commerce programme also.
The college has a unit of 100 students of the National Service Scheme and a unit of Rover Ranger comprising 25 students. In response to technological advancements and changing educational paradigms, Rajkiya Mahavidyalaya Chinyalisaur embraced modernization and innovation in its teaching and learning practices. It integrated information technology into its academic curriculum, adopted student-centric pedagogies, and encouraged research and innovation among faculty and students. Beyond academics, the college offers a vibrant campus life enriched with cultural events, sports competitions, community service initiatives, and extracurricular activities. These opportunities not only complement the academic curriculum but also foster holistic development, leadership skills, and social responsibility among the student body. Despite limited resources, the college is continuously making efforts to fulfill the need for higher education in this area.
